Yasmine Fellag is 25 years old.  She obtained her baccalaureate at the age of 22 after a long series of school failures, and before embarking on cinema, and more specifically in editing, the specialty she chose for her final year at the Free Conservatory of Cinéma Français (CLCF). Her first two years at this school allowed her to embody and understand important positions on a set - director, assistant director, machinist, perch woman, cameraman, scriptwriter, stage manager, and director production. They have given her a great versatility in the audiovisual sector. She’d like to make music videos. Music is an art form that fascinates her the best way to convey emotions by combining and manipulating sound and image. Her goal is one day to create her own clips. She joined IRIV in February 2023 to participate in the Think Diverse project! which brings together France, Spain and Italy. This project promotes sharing, tolerance and inclusion through the notion of diversity, an element founder of the European Union. The current geopolitical context has undermined many fundamental rights and the aim of the project is to promote better religious and intercultural understanding by improving tolerance in the European Union. As part of her internship, she must make a film about gender and sexual orientation. This subject is very broad and speaks to him a lot, his goal is to open minds by sharing his way of feeling it.

After a Literary Baccalaureate and two years at the Faculty of Law, Emma enrolled in a film school in Paris, the Conservatoire Libre du Cinéma Français (CLCF) in October 2021. She has participated in many short films, as a director, assistant director, or as a support manager. She was thus able to take on different positions to better understand all facets of the audio-visual and cinematographic field to which she is destined . In her third year, she plans to specialize in editing, which has her preference. At IRIV, she is associated with the Think Diverse project! , within the framework of the European Erasmus+ programme, which brings together Italy (leader), Spain and France. She works with two other film students (CLCF and EICAR) and will be responsible for several projects- the production and editing (alone) of a video on the theme of diversity & mental health, a second video produced in partnership with his two colleagues on a Short Film Festival on Diversity (Lilas, March 2-3, 2023), a third video on a “Diversity Journey” (7 places representative of cultural and religious diversity in Paris), a fourth video on the European meeting organized by the iriv (pedagogical approach suggested by the Lirac) and a fifth video on the conference “Creativity to defend diversity” to be held on Friday 24 March at the Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie (Agora room). All videos will be published on the iriv YouTube channel and distributed widely on social networks (Tik Tok, Facebook, etc.) for an effective strategy for disseminating the results of the Think Diverse project – videos produced by the project’s artistic partners (Lirac, Curvapolar, TAG), guide edited by iriv with contributions from other partners and diversity management manual edited by iriv with Skill up (Italy) and Neotalentway (Spain).

Baptiste Silvestre is a student at the Ecole Internationale de création audiovisuelle et de réalisation (EICAR) a cinema school in Paris. He obtained a literary baccalaureate with honors in 2021. Passionate about music and cinema, he had previoulsy chosen this option in high school. This environment has fascinated him since childhood. At the Conservatoire Libre de Cinéma Français (CLCF), he learned how to write short films, how to carry out a project to the end and how to play several roles on a set -the organization, preparation, He wanted to specialize in plateau trades and chose his second school the Eicar. He has perfected his craft as a cameraman, assistant cameraman, electrician or machinist, and editor. During his internship at IRIV he will carry out his first professional experience by bringing his audiovisual skills to a Think Diverse European project! which brings together three countries (Italy, leader, Spain and France). Its aim is to use creativity to serve diversity in Europe. Baptiste will be associated with a short film festival, the hosting of a European delegation to the organization of a conference on diversity and a Parisian journey of diversity (7 locations) for the European delegation.

Nakany Traoré holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in International Law (University Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne) and a Master’s degree in Public Law (University Paris VIII Vincennes Saint-Denis). Having received a cross-disciplinary training in law has enabled her to acquire solid knowledge in both public and private law however she is strongly attracted by public law after five years’ courses at the University.   After having achieved  her Master’s degree, she decided to complete a transition year to gain a professional experience in the legal field. During this one-year hiatus, she completed a 3-month internship at Avens Lehman & Associates. Thanks to this first professional experience in the legal field, she could learn the drafting of acts and the execution of legal tasks, it has familiarized hers with the various aspects of the profession of lawyer. As part of her second year of master degree, she completed an internship at AZM Design & Build, a technical design office, where she could answer calls for tenders and draft various legal acts. In December 2020, she worked as a legal editor within the Migration and Integration Directorate of the Seine-Saint-Denis Prefecture. This first assignment as a contractual agent in the public service enabled her to apply her knowledge of asylum and foreign law. She is a fervent supporter of the Olympique de Marseille (football team). She is also a "fashionista" for detecting the latest trends on Instagram. Within the iriv, she is working on  the CLASS project (Erasmus + project, 2019-2021), led by SOLCO in Italy and five other partners in different European countries (iriv for France, Caritas for Germany and Desincoop for Portugal, University of Perugia & Liceo Galileo in Pescara for Italy), whose aim is to train middle school students in a “Misinformation training” in order for them to become “cybercitizens” to spread the word among their classmates. Nakany together with Camille (intern also) will organize a «dissemination event» to promote the CLASS project. She is preparing and will participate in the training of middle school students at the Saint Pierre de Brunoy Institute (Essonne). At the same time, she will carry out a translation work of the Intellectual outputs designed for the CLASS, in order to make the project be more accessible/ understandable to potential a French audience.

Camille Salèse is graduate of a two-year degree in Literature and Social Sciences. She is following a Communication bachelor’s degree, at the University Sorbonne Nouvelle, Paris 3. In his education, she could practice community managing, newsletters editing, and strategies of internal and external communication. These practical exercises have taught her how to take advantage of social media and the internet. She is also trained to journalism; she wrote several articles and recorded podcasts and reports.  Many of her articles tackled the issue of climate change, mental health, and social changes, but she also wrote about journalism controversies. In 2021, she volunteered in the French association “Terre Solidaire”, as a communication officer’s assistant. Battifol Akpovo has just graduated from  ESIGELEC, a general Engineering school with a specialization in Big Data, particularly in Business Intelligence and Data Analytics (located in Rouen, Normandy, France). During his curriculum he participated in several small projects relating to IT such as a Machine learning project with the purpose to help Deaf People and people with sound malfunction to recognized road song. Another small project in feature with Axione from Bouygues was to create a cartographic representation of light points in the whole city of Istanbul. In 2020, he made an internship at Le Monde Group in Business Intelligence at the Advertising Pole (Mpublicité) - he worked on the implementation of a new Data Integration for the pole. Previously, he was an intern during the 2019 summer at Camondo Consulting, working for a client Presstalis, aiming at providing data for one of their website. His first professional experience was carried out as a postman for La Poste group (French public Post office). Big fan of Basketball and Football, you can see him 24h a day looking out for some sports news or watching games sometimes late at night. At iriv, Battifol is associated to the European project Prove (Erasmus + project, 2019-2021) led by the University of Tübingen in Germany, an association of 6 European countries (Germany, Austria, France, Greece, the Netherlands and Portugal) aiming at professionalizing VPL advisers; Battifol is designing an interactive and dynamic website which provides an understanding of the competence model for VPL advisers; access the database of resources illustrating each of the skills and sub-skills suggested; to test the self-assessment tool suggested to VPL advisers to test their skills & competences.

Camilla Bistrussu is graduate in Master of Science “Organizational Psychology: Human Resources, Marketing and Communication” at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore of Milan (Italy). In 2019, she carried out an internship in the Human Resources of Coesia S.p.a. She worked at the Department of Learning &Internal communication, where she designed and implemented a new six-sigma induction process for the head office and the subsidiaries of Coesia. Her thesis was dedicated to a case study which stresses the importance of having a well-structured induction process in the era of change, diversity and interculturality. In 2017, she obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Psychological Sciences at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Milan (Italy). At Iriv, since April 2020, Camilla has participated in several European projects, combining a national and European approach, in a multicultural environment. The first project is the DiverPass, offering an educational approach to professionals accompanying migrant audiences; she participated in several virtual European meetings (drafting of the minutes). The second project is the CLASS offering several tools to educators (school teachers and employees of associations) to fight against early school leaving (ESL); Camilla designed a brochure (in English translated into all languages). The third PROVE project offers a competency-based model for VPL practitioners; Camilla tested the self-assessment tool (100 questions) and technically developed the survey for VPL councillors. The latest project, GRIT, offers training and tutorials applying the Growth Mindset approach to support teachers working in schools located in sensitive urban areas in order to raise awareness on the "Growth Mindset" approach. For GRIT, she attended a European seminar at ISCTE (University of Lisbon) in September 2020; she prepared and co-facilitated a series of 6 focus groups with teachers (working in Aubervilliers, Essonne and Mayotte ); she designed a survey for teachers dispatched online (teachers in secondary education and in University education); she prepared and co-hosted training sessions with teachers (Growth mindset approach, Kolb cycle, narrative approach, experiential learning, and education through music). From March to June 2020, Camilla published a weekly article on the situation in Italy for the "Solidarité Covid-19" Newsletter published by iriv where she underlined the resilient strategies developed by Italian companies  faced to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Ece Ucar is currently a graduate student in International Development at Sciences Po (Paris School of International Affairs). Her main concerns are Global Political Economy and Methods. She holds a bachelor's degree in International Relations from Bilkent University(2019). Also, she obtained a minor degree in European Studies from Maastricht University(2018).  Previously, she worked at UNFPA-Turkey as the assistant of the gender program coordinator (2018). At the UNFPA country office, she worked on the issue of delivering humanitarian aid to young women. She carried out a research internship at Koç University Migration Research Center (2017). There she focused on two different projects: Evaluation of the Common European Asylum under Pressure & Recommendations for Further Development (CeasEVAL) and Interactive Social Integration Model for Improving Migration Governance. As a volunteer, she was involved in fundraising events at UNICEF Maastricht Student Team and Bilkent Social Awareness Club's Sun Rises From Villages Project. Also, she participated to roundtable debates organized by the International Republican Institute. In 2020, as the communication assistant of the marketing manager, she worked for The Shibumi Ecological Textiles Company located in Miami, FL.  She is presently writing her thesis on the education process of migrant students (especially allophones) living at the periphery of Paris. At Iriv, Ece is involved in the project of the GRIT that focuses on teachers working in sensitive areas in order to spread the word on the "Growth Mindset" among students by empowering teachers. For the GRIT, Ece has been preparing and co-leading a series of 6 focus groups with teachers (Aubervilliers, Essonne and Mayotte); she has designed and analysed a survey omong teachers through an online survey (in secondary school and in educational sciences at the University) that she synthesized with the teachers of the focus group; she has also contributed to a training session for teachers (learning through music).

Katr Ennada RABAAOUI is a PHD candidate at the Université Sorbonne Nouvelle - Paris 3 under  the  supervision of M. Sarga MOUSSA, professor and director of research at the CNRS. Her thesis is entitled "La réinvention de l'Histoire méditerranéenne dans l'œuvre de Mathias Énard" with the aim to describe the transcultural and interdisciplinary dimension of the Mediterranean and to rethink this idea of  in-between,  border zone,  bridge, isthmus, in the sense of an interculturality rather than an "ontological" separation between Eastern and Western part of the Mediterranean sea.  The question of multilingualism and cosmopolitanism is central. Holder of a research master's degree in French Language, Literature and Art History from the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences of Tunis (Tunisia, 2019), she completed an internship in Linguistics at the Centre des Langues Appliquées de Besançon (France, 2016).  She worked part-time (2012-2017) in a certified  translation agency among the Italian and French embassies in Tunisia.  She has been a volunteer in various associations. Within Ana Yakedh "I watch" (an anti-corruption association founded just after the Tunisian revolution of 2011 for democratic transparency), she was an observer during the legislative and presidential elections in Tunisia (2019). She led humanitarian missions with Junior Chamber International (JCI) in the Ben Arous region of Tunisia: providing development opportunities and the ability to create positive change for young people. In 2018, she participated in awareness missions to fight against road insecurity within the Tunisian Association of Road Prevention ATPR (training sessions for educators, children and professional drivers) with an exhibition organized by high school students (set of materials and posters to raise awareness in the field of safety). For iriv, Nada is preparing a training course for middle school students on disinformation and infodemics so that they can in turn make their classmates aware of bullying and cyberstalking of which they are the first victims and their impact on their school career (dropping out). She also translated the Diversity Newsletters into Arabic (5 issues published since 2018).

Faustine-Louise is a student in Master’s degree in management of territories and local development – international administration of territorial projects (University of Paris Est Creteil-UPC). During her studies, she learned about fund raising and planification in local, national and international projects. During this master she went to Poland for Erasmus semester in Jagiellonski University of Krakow (Poland). During her master's degree she spent one semester in Erasmus at the Jagiellonski University in Krakow (Poland). She performed a nine-month civic service at the Zup De CO association (Tours), which consisted in facilitating and supervising tutoring sessions in a secondary school in a priority education area. Gizem Dere, currently a Master’s student in the field of Migration and Interethnic Relations at the Paris Diderot University, is already graduated from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales (EHESS, 2018). She supported a final thesis about the professional integration of young people of Turkish origin in Ile de France. Previously she has realized a European Voluntary Service (EVS) during one year in Tours. She graduated in Political Science from Galatasaray University (Istanbul, Turkey). At iriv, Gizem participates in projects about migration (MigrAID & Revalue) and youth issues (EducOpera, GRIT and MiFamily). Bachelorof Art  in Political Science at Roma Tre University (2012), Giulia is a graduate student pursuing a Master in European Affairs at Sciences Po Paris. She has developed a strong interest in the European Affairs during her studies at Dalarna University in Sweden, within the Erasmus exchange program (2012). Volunteer at la Cimade (since 2014), which  assists and supports  migrants in France, she intends to specialize in the migration policies of the European Union. At iriv, Giulia is associated to the European projects Vintage (2013-2016) and Valbuk (2012-2014), as well as workshops among migrants at the Cité des Métiers.

Marta Guitart Sanchis, Junior project manager, Master in Political Sciences (Pompeu Fabra University). She benefited by an Erasmus exchange with the Insitute of Political Sciences of Toulouse (France, 2009-2010). Marta is currently enrolled at the Paris Diderot 7 University, Master 2 in Sociology, specialized in Migrations and Interethnic Relations. She completed a Master in Political Sciences at the Pompeu Fabra University of Barcelone specializing  on “Current Democracies: Nationalism, Federalism and Multiculturalism”. She was particularly interested in the combination of  ethnic groups under the frame of one Nation State, and the European and French public policies to receive and support migrant publics, under the main paradigm of citizenship. Her Master  was focused on the challenges faced by the old democracies as well as the new ones to combine differentiated ethnic groups living in the same state borders and which have experienced long civil and regional wars (work on Bosnia).  At iriv, Marta is associated to several European projects: ALLinHE (Erasmus, www.allinhe.eu, 2011-2014), ValBuk (Leonardo da Vinci, 2012-2014), Success at school (www.successatschool.eu, Comenius, 2012-2014),  and Di&Di (Leonardo da Vinci, 2013-2015), as well as workshops among migrants at the Cité des Métiers.

Roberta Gualtieri is a junior project manager of the Institute for Research and Information on Volunteering (iriv). She is currently enrolled at the Judicial Studies Institute of the University Paris-Est Créteil. She completed a Master 2 in European Law at the University Paris-Est Créteil (2012). She is particularly interested in EU Immigration Policy. Editor at EU-logos in Brussels (2012), she followed the work of the European Parliament in the area of Freedom, Security and Justice. Furthermore, she graduated in Law at the University Federico II of Naples (2006-2010), focusing on Comparative Public Law as well as issues as secularism and cultural diversity. Marco Funk is a graduate student pursuing a Master in European Affairs at Sciences Po, Paris. He completed his Bachelor in Political Science at the University of Central Florida (UCF) in Orlando, USA, where he also followed courses in journalism. Some of his extracurricular experiences include working on the 2008 Obama election campaign, assisting journalists at Deutsche Welle Television in Berlin, Germany (2010) and following political events in Europe and Russia during his internship at UCF Global Perspectives (2011). Marco has also participated in several Model United Nations conferences and was the president of the United Nations Association at UCF. Having grown up in the United States and Italy with German-Italian parents, Marco's personal experiences and multicultural upbringing sparked an interest in international migration issues. As a student of EU politics, migration towards/within Europe and the integration of migrants in EU countries especially interests him. During his time at iriv, Marco is assisting the completion of the Migrapass project (www.migrapass.eu)

Alice Traish is an undergraduate student at the University of Manchester (Manchester, UK). She majors in English Literature and French. As part of the Erasmus scheme, Alice is studying French Literature at the Sorbonne University of Paris IV this academic year but also takes classes in law, economics and political philosophy. Alice has taken part in many volunteering projects in the past. In 2009, she traveled to the Indian Himalayas as a member of a voluntary team that helped teach English to young children and renovate a school. She also worked as a language tutor with immigrant children in England. At Manchester, she volunteered to help in putting together the University's first newspaper devoted to French culture and news which should begin printing in September 2012. She is currently a member of the Sorbonne IV UNICEF team. Her time at the iriv is an opportunity to further her personal and professional engagement with volunteering. For iriv, she has developed a first version of the blog for the rives de l'iriv.

Laurice Fox is an undergraduate student at Middlebury College (Vermont, USA). She majors in International Studies and specializes in Sociology and French, with a focus on European studies. Her article on the perception of French academics at a University level was published in les rives de l'iriv, issue number 21 . At iriv she developed a web blog for the project ALLinHE (allinhefr.blogspot.fr) to inform the public of its primary objectives, which is to have an open door policy at educational institutions for their under represented groups of all backgrounds. She also aided in French to English translation.
