Evaluation of a volunteers network

A French association, first in the field for supporting children abroad, created a service for volunteers in 1998 and wanted to make an evaluation of its work after three years' time.

In 2001, how is managed the network of 750 volunteers and how is it supported by the internal service dedicated to this network to prepare the future ?

Context

Objectives

1. An overview of the three working years of the internal service dedicated to volunteers (SAB) on the basis of internal documents and interviews of executive managers in the several departments of the association
2. A questionnaire dispatched among the 700 volunteers in 70 Departements Meetings with 6 teams of volunteers (6 different Departements)
3. A synthesis of the data collected, results of the consultation made and proposals for the future
4. a consultation in the 70 Departements in which teams of volunteers exist.

April-May 2001: an overview on the network of volunteers and the internal service dedicated to them
May-June 2001 : consultation among volunteers
June 2001 : meetings with selected teams of volunteers
July : draft, synthesis, proposals
